We’re passionate about helping you grow and make an impact.

Meet The Townsels

Our passion for helping couples was stirred from a place of knowing that a healthy community is a big factor in staying committed to being a team. We understand that couples need a space free of bias where both husband and wife can have a voice to talk and hear one another. We’ve created safe spaces for couples because that’s what we’ve needed along our journey. That place has become a beautiful community of all races to heal and do married life together.

Meet Chavon

Chavon has come to know the Lord over the past 20 years and God’s heart for an intimate relationship with mankind. Chavon realized that the family dynamic starts with the position a man must take when relating to God the Father. This position is to worship God freely and serve the world openly. Chavon became an ordained Deacon and Minister in 2009, continued learning, and completed ministry school. Through his experience, the Lord called him into Pastoring Men of Acts Ministries. In addition, Chavon helps men manage the business of themselves. He has developed a worldwide men's coaching program called Sharpen the Axe. The program has helped men to sharpen their walk in life, becoming more accurate and precise in leading their families and regaining their voice in their community.

Meet Lakiesha

Lakiesha Townsel, International Speaker, Marriage Coach and Author is passionate about motivating women, encouraging them to be confident and to pursue God’s plan for their life.  She believes that confidence and great faith will have a tremendous impact on their families and home life first, as this is where true ministry is birthed.  Whether speaking to single women about preparation for marriage, or to married women about being the best that God called them in to be in their gender purpose as a wife, she desires to change the life of each woman she encounters.  Motivating women to have a personal relationship with God, loving others as they love themselves and using their gifts to change the World.

Our Story

Our own struggles in marriage had us recognize the lack of sincere help with proven practical tools. Our communication skills sucked. One of us felt unloved, while the other felt disrespected. At the beginning of our marriage, we compared our marriage to others all the time. From what we thought was their ability to love one another well to their material gain.

We entered our marriage union as a blended family. As soon as we said “I do”, we were hit with financial hardships, an emotional affair, and all of the issues that come from blending families because of the other parents of the child. We believed because we had premarital counseling that we were good. However, our premarital counseling was focused on a completed assignment and not intertwined into our daily lives on how to do marriage well. We have now turned our lessons learned into tools to help married couples thrive.

Chavon and Lakiesha Townsel have been married for 20 years and have 4 children. They are speakers and marriage mentors. They have been marriage leaders in the community since 2006. They are authors and retreat hosts for the First Comes Love Marriage Retreat.
